Ghostly ships filled with bodies arrive on Japan's shores

Over the past two months, at least 12 wooden boats have been found adrift or on the coast, carrying chilling cargo -- the decaying bodies of 22 people, police and Japan's coast guard said. All the bodies were "partially skeletonized" -- two were found without heads -- and one boat contained six skulls, the coast guard said.

Palmyra: Will ISIS bulldoze ancient Syrian city?

At least 100 regime troops were killed overnight fighting ISIS, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. ISIS militants were going door-to-door looking for Syrian regime soldiers Thursday, one Palmyra resident who asked to remain anonymous for fear of retribution told CNN. "They (ISIS) are everywhere," another resident told CNN, adding that militants have put the city on curfew.

Norway to Afghan migrants from Russia: You may get sent back to Kabul

(CNN)The Norwegian government has sent a stern warning to Afghan asylum seekers coming across the border from Russia: You could get a one-way ticket to Kabul. Hundreds of migrants have been crossing into Norway from Russia each week via the frontier above the Arctic Circle -- but last week marked a turning point, with more Afghans than Syrians seeking asylum for the first time, Norway's Directorate of Immigration said.

The petition, which was started by a student at Dokuz Eylul University in the western province of Izmir, so far has almost 5,500 signatures.

London (CNN)The UK's advertising watchdog has banned an ad for fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent featuring a model who it said was "unhealthily underweight." The Advertising Standards Authority ruled the black-and-white image of a model in a short, black dress and platform high heels was "irresponsible."

Well-preserved: At 350, this noblewoman's still fully dressed

(CNN)Archaeologists in France have unearthed the extraordinarily well-preserved corpse of a 17th-century noblewoman -- still dressed in her dress, bonnet and shoes. A team from the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research discovered the body when they pried open her lead coffin during a rescue excavation on the construction site of a new conference center in Rennes in northwestern France.

Reports: Model Kate Moss escorted off flight, accused of being disruptive

(CNN)Police have escorted supermodel Kate Moss off a plane at an airport near London after she was reportedly being disruptive, according to reports in the UK media, including the BBC. Police would not confirm to CNN that it was Kate Moss. CNN has reached out to Moss' representatives for comment. Police met easyJet Flight 2232 from Bodrum, Turkey, at London Luton Airport on Sunday "due to the behavior of a passenger on board," according to a statement from the airline.
